Hello from Lincoln,
Next Friday, 12/22, is a half-day. Dismissal is at 12:00. Both lunch and breakfast will be served.
Thank you to families who took something from our Giving Tree. If you took something, please return the gift and the “hand” or family # any time between now and 12/19. We are already working to sort gifts and if you have it early, that is much appreciated.
On Wednesday, 12/20, report cards will be sent home. Please sign and return the envelope to your child’s teacher. Signature indicates that you’ve received the report card. The envelope will be reused for the 2nd and 3rd (last day of school) trimester report cards. The report card is yours to keep.

The PTO meeting originally scheduled for Monday, 12/18, has been cancelled.
Due to the half-day next Friday, 12/22 there is no library.
5th grade families:
Ecamp payment dates: January 15th, February 15th and March 15th ($56.00 payment). Checks should be made out to Melrose Public Schools. Cash cannot be accepted due to Melrose Public School policy. Please send check or money order.

The Melrose Public Schools in conjunction with the Melrose Human Rights Commission are sponsoring a writing contest to honor the legacy of Dr. King. Each winner will be honored at the annual Human Rights Commission Martin Luther King, Jr., dinner in January. Entries must be received by December 20th as noted in the directions. If interested, please see the link for directions and prompt for grades K-5 and the link for grades 6-12.
With the official start to winter just a few weeks away, we want to remind you of our procedures for weather related cancellations, delays or possible early dismissal. For families with students in grades 3, 4 and 5, please note the following MCAS testing window dates: April 2nd – May 25th. Once the schedule is finalized and specific, we will notify you.
